Disneyland Resort - theme parks

The Disneyland resort comprises of two theme parks. The first is the original Disneyland Park that opened in 1955.

The second is Disney California Adventure that official opened on February 8, 2001. The park was relaunched on June 15, 2012 with the opening of Buena Vista Street and Cars Land as it completed a five year make over.

Disney parks are much more than just attractions and shopping. There is also great entertainment.

Be sure to allow enough time in the parks. Take into account the time of year, crowds, your endurance, and what you want to see. I could easily see a once in a life time guest wanting to spend three days going between both parks, but for a more frequent(say once every couple years) visitor it may be only two days are need and for someone who visits once a year or more a day or so is good.
