Hello again, everyone!
I'm back - at last!!! I'm sorry for disappearing for so long, folks
- for most of the last month I've been so busy that the last thing
I wanted to do was stare at a computer screen, even to write these
listings. Fortunately, the worst parts of my schedule are over for
the time being, and thanks to a quick "re-mousing" at
Disneyland with my beloved fiancée, I finally have the energy
and attitude necessary to do a little writing. But enough about
me - let's get to the listings!
Well, folks, after a fairly quiet January as far as TV shows featuring
the Disney theme parks go, we start off the month of February fairly
quietly as well. Nothing new coming up in the next week or two,
alas, but we do have repeats of a special about WDW weddings from
the Food Network, a great classic sitcom visit to WDW, and a couple
of visits to WDW resorts by the indefatigable Samantha Brown. ("The
Indefatigable Samantha Brown" - wouldn't that be a great title
for a Broadway musical?) Here's what's coming up. (As always, all
times are PST and all shows are on the Travel Channel unless otherwise
noted.)
A. Shows About Disney Theme Parks and Resorts
Saturday, February 4, 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., Food Network: "Disney's
Fairy Tale Weddings". Join host Sandra Pickney as she takes
you behind the scenes to see the planning and preparation that go
into a wedding celebration at Walt Disney World.
Friday, February 10, 8:30 a.m.: Great Hotels - "Disney's Wilderness
Lodge". Host Samantha Brown explores the Walt Disney World
hotel inspired by the great national park lodges, going on a quest
to find the Fire Rock Geyser and taking a wild ride through the
wilderness on the Magic Kingdom's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Friday, February 10, 9:30 a.m.: Great Hotels - "Disney's Grand
Floridian". Host Samantha Brown shows us the premier hotel
of the Walt Disney World Resort and spends some time having fun
at the Magic Kingdom.
B. Shows Taking Place at Disney Theme Parks and Resorts
Friday, February 3, 12:00 p.m., and Monday, February 6, 9:00 a.m.,
ABC Family: Full House - "The House Meets The Mouse (Part 1)".
The Tanner family visits Walt Disney World; Michelle is named "princess
for a day", which leads to trouble between the sisters.
Friday, February 3, 12:30 p.m., and Monday, February 6, 9:30 a.m.,
ABC Family: Full House - "The House Meets The Mouse (Conclusion)."
Jesse & Jimmy have an unexpected visitor during their underwater
radio show at Epcot; Danny proposes to Vicky.
And that's all I have for this time, folks! Have a good week, enjoy
the Super Bowl (I'm rooting for the commercials - I hate to admit
it, but I haven't been keeping up with who's been in the playoffs),
and I'll be back again soon. Until then, take care, everyone!

Hello again, everybody - Happy New Year!
First off, I have to apologize to my loyal readers for my absence
- a couple of end-of-the-year business trips and the arrival of
my lovely fiancée have kept me from getting out updates to
the listings. But I'm back now, and I'm happy to bring you the first
set of Disney theme park-related TV shows for 2006!
We have a couple of shows new to my listings this time out - a
repeat of a great special on the History Channel about the history
and creation of Walt Disney World, a sports special from WDW, and
this year's edition of the Tournament of Roses parade, which features
a floral tribute to the Happiest Celebration on Earth. If you'll
be at home on vacation this week, Wednesday is your day for TV watching,
as the Travel Channel will be featuring an afternoon of shows featuring
the parks, a show with features about Disney theme park horticulture,
and a sitcom featuring a visit to WDW. Add it all together, and
you've got the makings of a great week's worth of shows! Here's
what's coming up. (As always, all times are PST and all shows are
on the Travel Channel unless otherwise noted. Shows new to the listings
are indicated by an asterisk {*} after the description.)
