Disneyland Resort Pictures
The text list below contains the captions of all images in the set.
Not too many buses yet but tonight is another Grad Nite so eventually this will fill up.
La Brea Bakery reopened earlier today.
They still have finishing touches like the covering over the out door dining area to wrap up.
The entrance for the table service location.
The menu.
The express entrance.
The LCD was not functional yet, wonder if it will be a menu or some other sort of video.
The menu.
A walk through.
There is an exhibition kitchen area where they were making bread. As you can see they still have some finishing touches, the top is still temporary.
Looking back.
The outdoor seating area. New tables and chairs but no other real changes. I thought they may take this opportunity to redo the area so they would not need the temporary security fences anymore.
Last Sunday prices went up on all tickets. Notice a one day park hopper is now $125 and a Premium Annual Pass is $649.
Noticed the fence is in on the far side of the DCA entrance.
A closer look.
The Mad T Party starts this evening as a special sneak preview. It is on the time schedule.
And on the park maps (note over at Disneyland the Jamboree is not though).
Not much to see over the walls today. With only 3 weeks till the grand opening and 2 weeks till most of the previews start they are now wrapping up and applying finishing touches.
Some new signage in Condor Flats painted on the hanger.
No visible progress on Taste Pilots.. curious to see what it will look like.. if they are painting a sign on or just patching it up so the design is finished.
Heading toward Carthay Circle. The walls have been taken down around the Carthay and moved back to reveal the fountain.
Carthay Circle on this cloudy afternoon.
I will make three passes through the area.. first with a wide angle, then later with a mid range and telephoto lens.
The walls are pushed back to the curb (you can see the curb under the wall).
The central fountain.
The Carthay is now unveiled.
The tips on the posts around the fountain are interesting..
The Carthay entrance. There were a couple of cast members positioned outside to answer questions.
The new Buena Vista Street trash can design.
The walkway leading up the parade route.
Three doors leading in.
A plaque talking about the historical significance of the Carthay (12/21/37 is when Snow White premiered there). A close up in several pages.
Looking out from the entrance area.
The dinner menu. The glare was terrible this afternoon...
The lunch menu.
The other side of the entrance area.
The two cast members out front agreed to model their costumes for me.
They were answering questions as well as handing out cards with some info on the Carthay. I found this really odd that they were providing info on Club 33. Guess Disney has decided to make a marketing push for the club.
A second card featured the Carthay logo.
And the reverse side had the opening date and dining number.
Some more area pictures.
The walkway down Hollywood Blvd.
Both the pedestals are uncovered.
More signage has been painted on the buildings.
The time lapse camera is still up on the roof.
There was a gate set up on the red car track, guessing they may be doing some after hours testing.
A look around the courtyard between the Carthay and Disney Jr.
The backstage gate.
The emergency exit for the Carthay.
The level of detail on the building is great!
A closer look at one of the planters.
I thought this side looked great too. You can see a second emergency exit staircase and then service doors, but they really made it all work with the area.
A closer look at the stairs.
The new sight line toward Condor Flats. I can see why the jet was removed. At night the Soarin sign was a little out of place too.
A closer look at the plaque on the wall.
The old Candy Store area is awaiting its new sign.
Plastic over Elias & Co.
There were several Imagineers milling around the front of the Carthay.. eventually a couple of reporters showed up to talk with them and then tour the Carthay.
A closer look at some of the details.
Moving on to Hollywood Land.
Mad T Party merchandise is now available in Gone Hollywood.

Working on some new wind socks/flags.
Many of the railings in Fliks were being worked on.
The Tough to Be a Bug theater is behind a tarp as the mural is repainted.
no real visible progress here.
A look toward Carthay Circle.
Cars Land was a live with activity as Cast Members were being allowed to preview Maters. I could not tell if they were heading to the other two or not.
Looks like this stairwell is next for the painters.
Still no speakers/lights along the parade route by Maters.
No real visible progress here, was hoping the signs would be installed...
Two of the three platforms were up for work.
The walls around the Cove Bar are down, but a tarp is still up around the bar area.
A new ramp to get in.
This door was closed, all the others were open.. not sure why, maybe the wind?
More new billboards along the Pier.
The ice cream line got in the way of this picture.
The one from last week..
Thought this was a fun one.
Notice the tree in the middle looks difference compared to the other two.
Looks like it was recently put in.
The Fun Wheel line stretched all the way to the final turn of the exit ramp which means close to 45 minutes so I skipped it this trip.
The fountains in Paradise Park were on, but since it was cool out no one was in them..
Hmm.. they have painted it all blue.. wonder what it will be once completed.
Time for Disneyland.
Still Remember on the poster.
Main Street is all Red, White, and Blue for the Memorial Day weekend (and then summer).

A healthy line for Minnie this afternoon
Mickey was posted at 30 minutes.
The sun was finally breaking through and making it a great afternoon.
The BBQ area is decked out for summer now.
Walked through the Jamboree next.
This group was entertaining. They were singing top 40 songs. An interesting idea for a choir.
Cowboy Mickey out for pictures.
Minnie was roaming around too.
It is great that the characters can take time to enjoy the show a bit (notice the two in the front row...)
No cows lurking so guess they were cut and sentenced to go backstage again.
The shooting exposition has reopened.
No real changes jumped out.. the roof area looked to be redone and some other repainting.
The target area looked to be the same to me.
The wait times at 3:45pm
A little hard to see but still no sea gulls in the lagoon.

They were installing the Five and Dime sign.
The Red Car stop.
A closer look at the sign and beyond it Oswalds.
The Lego store celebrating its grand reopening this weekend. (More later)
Soundsational making its way down the parade route.
A second pass this time looking South. First up the Mad T Party.
Then Buena Vista Street.
Looks like tile work going on in the park area.. or maybe bricks..
Heading back to Disneyland.
Since it is Memorial Day weekend thought it fitting to watch the Flag Retreat followed by a visit to Mr. Lincoln.
Some ducks awaiting the band.
Flag Retreat video of the Armed Forces Medley and then the Star Spangled Banner.
The honor guard arriving.
The flags coming down.
Folding the flags.
Had some time before the Great Moments show. Wonder if they are going to update this...seems time.
Noticed the train was stopped in the gallery.
Next up Great Moments.. no photography allowed inside the main theater.. so this is the only picture today.
The Red Car sign.
Another sign..
The Uva bar is still behind walls. You could smell a lot of fresh paint so I am guessing it will open soon.
Spotted this sign and do not remember it.
The Lego store is celebrating its grand re-opening this weekend with a giant build of its mascot.
You can participate by creating a section and then you can get a certificate. There were other promotions going on inside too.
Earl of Sandwich is behind walls.
At Vault 28.
The Los Feliz sign being positioned.
Thanks to all the trees and walls you could not really see anything else.
A cat was hanging out watching the crowds below.
Tower of Terror got in the way of this picture...
Luckily you can get pictures without it..

The merchandise location was open for business.
Not a big fan of the misters...
The Tweedles out interacting with the crowd.
A wide shot of the crowd.
More chairs in front of the other stage. I never saw any groups take this stage in my couple of passes through.
Time to move on.. I will double back later. Wow 135 minute wait for Tower.. Grad Nite!
The lights were coming on in Radiator Springs.
This evening they had the lights on the range changing color.
A brief video clip.
Back to Disneyland. The new sign was not lit up this evening.
The Matterhorn.. I did not take the time to set up the picture.. but the waterfalls were off and the lights on it.
Waiting for the summer edition of the Magic, the Memories, and You!
Show time. Here is a video of the entire show. Note there is a problem with the left and center video/projectors about half way through.. but you can see the summer add on.
A couple pictures of the new segment.
Here you can see the left side lagging and center out basically.
The love/valentine segment remained.
On the way back to DCA was routed by the castle.. always a picture I have to take when I walk by..
Oswalds sign was on.
Some pictures of Carthay Circle after dark.
A peak inside thanks to the inside lights being on and the curtain thin. I believe this is the 1901 lounge.
