Seems like I just did this, but another list of things to catch up on…
1) Have an update from a friend in ODV at Disneyland… A lot of things are happening in foods. I just thought you would like to know. The carts by Town Square are being used right now to take over for other carts in rehab but they will be used again on busier days (we hope not but oh well). If you have been to the park the last few days you would have notice ODV seems to have a lack of open carts. That’s because of the new form of scheuduling. Because of our new contract restuarants take priority even if this means closing odv down to 5 carts. Also coming soon is a new popcorn box featuring tinkerbell (she’s apparently the charicter for the 50th).
2) In searching around the web we stumbled upon an interesting site.. did you know Divequest @ EPCOT has its own website and it was actually done by an outside vendor and not Disney (the website).. the URL is: http://epcotdivequest.com/
3) Also found out Disney World.com now does Golf Tee Times and it appears to be working.. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/moreMagic/golf/golfHome?id=GolfHomePage
Now if you could book dining online it would be great…
4) Have you played around with the new Google Map features with the Keyhole system integrated? It allows for easy access to satellite images… check out:
http://maps.google.com
For Disneyland enter… 1313 Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA
Anyone know the significance of that official addres…. hmmm… think the 13th letter of the alphabet…
5) Got a flyer for the new Magic Express service down in Orlando it really doesn’t say much beyond the press release and basically wants you to call.. the reason I mention it is because of the logo.. Its a stylized Mickey that really brings an “old” maybe art deco period look.. I think its a neet idea and saw some pictures of the busses and they are painted to look older too, great idea..
6) I was carrying on a conversation several months ago with another webmaster over Disntances in the parks. He had some photos and measurements indicating that its exactly the same distance from the Train Station to the Castle at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.. my brain would not accept this for some reason… so for the heck of it I walked off Disneyland and hopefully will remember and have time to do the same down in Florida next trip. For those who care the Disneyland steps were approximately:
Train Station Steps -> Flag Pole 22 steps
Flag Pole -> Partners 267 steps
Partners -> Castle entrance 110 steps
That’s it for now… talk to you all later,
Jason
Thank you very much for your post. Lots of people who are struggling to get rid of excessive weight, as well as me will surely benefit from this.
